Uncle Steve came to town to move all his furniture back to Chicago. The kids were a HUGE help!
We can't wait to see his new digs in the Windy City!
Before he headed out of town, we grabbed a quick dinner and stopped at Trader Joe's on the way home. Phoebe knows her mama likes pictures with pumpkins!
October 1st, Ryan and I flew out to New Orleans for a work conference. There was a Harrah's not too far from the hotel so we played a few slots.
And of course, hit up the buffet in the casino.
We made an attempt to see the Gulf but never quite found the right street. It made for a long detour, but we did make a stop at Fort Jackson which never reopened after Katrina and Rita hit. It was still pretty cool to see the buildings.
October 9th, our 11th wedding anniversary, the kids were off school for parent teacher conferences. I'd originally planned to take the day off but we had some conflicts in the office and I offered to bring them with me. We made a stop on the circle for free cupcakes!
"Working" so hard.
Saturday morning was her last soccer game of the season.
I can't say I'll miss the 8:00 starts on Saturdays but we love watching our girl play her heart out!
Ryan had to run by a work site Saturday afternoon so he dropped us off at the zoo.
We were too early to trick-or-treat but had a good time all the same!
And of course we rode the roller coaster!
Taking a quick break!
After the zoo, we headed to Stuckey's Farm to do some apple picking.
And train riding...
And bunny holding...
Since the weather has turned a bit, where else would we like to eat but Cracker Barrel??
We made one last stop Sunday afternoon at Spencer's (where we normally pick strawberries) to get some cornstalks for our front porch. While Ryan maneuvered them into the truck, we went to pose with the teddy bear.
Happy Fall, y'all!
