PJs and Pooches

This little guy is battling incoming molars.  Everything is going in the mouth - even butt paste!

And he's walking like a champ!

Playing with Lincoln Logs because that's what boys do!

Friday night was a co-op night at church which meant we could drop the kids off at 6:00 and pick them up by 9:45 since it wasn't one of our nights to volunteer.  Maverick was pretty easy, Phoebe on the other hand, was a bit more hesitant about going in her class since most of the faces were unfamiliar ones.  I promised her a treat if she went right in - and she did (this girl's love language is gifts!!!) - and what better treat for a four-year-old than a pair of high heels!?

Saturday we were set to find a house but of the five we set up, only two were still available come the morning.  We looked at them but had no success - so our realtor suggested he go with us to a few new subdivisions and talk about building again.  That meant I had to entertain the two kiddos while the men talked business.  They were great troopers!

Sunday after church we had lunch at Cracker Barrel, even though it was no one's birthday!  Another sibling shot where one is obviously NOT enjoying the hug.

Then we headed to YiaYia and Papou's so Brutus could get used to his temporary new home.  He loved having a yard to run around and not have a leash attached to his collar!

He also loved hanging out with Kali and their neighbor's dog, Cassie.  From YiaYia's reports, Brutus has been allowed, inside and uncrated.  And Papou went down at 3:30 in the morning and slept with both dogs on the couch.  I'm not sure they know how to use tough love when it comes to dogs...

Phoebe wanted to show them her new shoes but wanted to put her dress she wore to church back on (sans the tights) and is STILL telling everyone she meets (even the people at the table next to us at restaurants, and cashiers at Target) that she is FOUR!!!

Apparently they take their pictures best when not touching each other!!!

Got a call from daycare today that little man had a fever of 102.5 so we headed to the pediatrician (again) and all they could tell me was that it was viral and would need to run its course.  Here's hoping he's on the mend quickly and those teeth make their appearance once and for all!

Birthday Weekend (Again)!

Here's our little guy sporting some TU gear!  Love that he's supporting my alma mater!

Phoebe loves taking pictures with her little brother.

Our church hosted its annual MOPS Kids' Stuff Sale (it inevitably falls on a birthday weekend each year) and I scored this guy for $6!  He lights up, talks and does all sorts of fancy things most $6 toys don't do.

While I was at the sale, Nana and Papa arrived for a quick weekend visit.  They came loaded with birthday presents and made our apartment look like Christmas.  Phoebe got a dollhouse (I'll have to make sure to get a picture of it now that it's all assembled) from Nana, Papa, Aunt Carrie, Uncle Mike and the kids. Aunt Debi got her a little family to go in the house. We're pretty sure Maverick likes it as much as Phoebe does!

She also got the Hello Kitty umbrella she's been eyeing the last few months.  If the forecast is correct, she'll get LOTS of use out of it next week.

Maverick got Noah's Ark, Little Wheelies Construction site and lots of clothes for summer - now it just needs to warm up long enough to wear them!

Here Phoebe is patiently waiting to go to her party.

This party was pure chaos and I've given the owner a lot of constructive criticism (re: know your audience (four year olds need to eat before 1:30), offer options to the customer ahead of time (four year olds do NOT want sparkling water even if it is fancy), plan for flexibility(if the Carmel marathon route is right outside your business, people WILL be late), etc.).  Luckily, these four year olds had a good time regardless of the circumstances!

Princess Phoebe waiting for her friends to arrive.

The birthday girls waiting to get dolled up.

Purple and pink eye shadow - oh my!

"Cheers!"

Soaking their nails in lavender water.

Learning to do the princess walk, wave and curtsy.

Assembling their own goodie bags.

She loved opening the presents once we got home.

Playing with her cousin Bailey and hiding from Maverick in her closet.

Since we missed the memo about the venue providing ice cream but NOT cake, Ryan ran to the store and got her the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting she requested.

Showing off their writing skills.

After playing a few rounds of Angelina Ballerina, they showed off their dance moves during a little picnic dinner.

Playing dress up.

Sunday after church we headed downtown to the Old Spaghetti Factory so we could eat in the caboose.

Then we were off to the Children's Museum.

And we once again shut down the museum with the parade.

The weekend went way too fast and was way too busy but we had a great time!  Nana and Papa left this morning but will be back when Bailey gains a baby sister next month.  Maybe by then we'll have a house looming on the horizon...
