Blogger and I have not been getting along on my phone so I hunkered down this evening and went old school on the desktop to get caught up on our blog. This first picture, taken back in December is of our dear 8-year old daughter who had quietly gone through mommy's lingerie drawer and came down the stairs QUITE proud of herself.
Luckily, Ryan and I had a night out for my office Christmas party and quickly forgot all about it. We had a great time at Lucas Oil Stadium.
We got to tour everything but the locker rooms and loved every minute!
This picture is just for posterity. I enjoy baking but we're anything but consistent.
Over Christmas break, the kids did a lot of shopping with me. And loved having their pictures taken.
We went bowling with our neighbors.
Bumpers make everything better!
Maverick loved the massive Pac-Man in the arcade.
The girls preferred the ping pong toss as it generated the most tickets!
My favorite game of choice. Maverick, who is left-handed played with a wicked right hand.
Hailey and Phoebe had sleepovers back and forth over break. We decorated a rice krispie sheet. They didn't make the cut for our cookie trays but they had a great time with the sprinkles!
Our neighbor's treats. Next year I'll have to make a lot less as they leftovers all made it to my hips!
Who Shook Hook? fun with Auntie.
I was busy doing a lice treatment after taking Phoebe to get her haircut and was informed that she'd have to get de-loused prior to getting a haircut. I took matters into my own hands. It ended up we ALL got treated for lice - thank the Lord for expensive treatments available with a prescription and thank the Lord for insurance!
Even the car seats got a good cleaning!
We celebrated the holidays with our small group hibachi-style!
Phoebe had been complaining that she couldn't see the board at school and we figured it had more to do with all her friends wearing glasses instead of actually NEEDING them. Turns out she's near-sighted like her mama! We all had fun trying on a few frames.
We went to see Sing with Uncle Steve and Auntie Kate. Obviously the Batman Lego display was cooler so that's where they posed for pictures.
Uncle Steve is a master Jenga player.
The kids loved hanging out with Auntie Kate and Uncle Steve. They'd been recruited to help distract the kiddos and waste time while we waited for Ryan to come home with an early Christmas present.
Meet Tzatziki Wallis (or Ziki for short).
Born on October 30, 2016, this little furball has been a great addition to the family!
They took baths and were anxious to get in some more family time before going back to bed.
They had no idea what was waiting for them under the tree!
Christmas Eve we went to church and had dinner at YiaYia and Papou's then came home for the Christmas story and traditional one present to open - Christmas pjs.
Waiting at the top of the stairs Christmas morning.
This girl still loves legos!
And this one loves hot wheels!
Needless to say, this little guy got more than his fair share of attention over the holidays.
We headed to Anderson to celebrate Christmas with extended family at Grandpa's house.
It was a subdued holiday without Grandma there but so good to be together.
My family came over the next day to celebrate again. We had a lot of fun playing Auntie's new game.
We also got Auntie's expertise on Journey to Ride.
And OH, why do they love Monopoly so?! (That, and LIFE?!)
Ziki has become one of the family and for the most part, tolerates all the touching, and cuddling and picking up with ease. The kids love him and fight every day about who gets to take him for his walk. Hopefully that part lasts for years to come...
