Birthday Weekend (Again)!

Our church hosted its annual MOPS Kids' Stuff Sale (it inevitably falls on a birthday weekend each year) and I scored this guy for $6!  He lights up, talks and does all sorts of fancy things most $6 toys don't do. 

While I was at the sale, Nana and Papa arrived for a quick weekend visit.  They came loaded with birthday presents and made our apartment look like Christmas.  Phoebe got a dollhouse (I'll have to make sure to get a picture of it now that it's all assembled) from Nana, Papa, Aunt Carrie, Uncle Mike and the kids. Aunt Debi got her a little family to go in the house. We're pretty sure Maverick likes it as much as Phoebe does!

She also got the Hello Kitty umbrella she's been eyeing the last few months.  If the forecast is correct, she'll get LOTS of use out of it next week.

Maverick got Noah's Ark, Little Wheelies Construction site and lots of clothes for summer - now it just needs to warm up long enough to wear them!

This party was pure chaos and I've given the owner a lot of constructive criticism (re: know your audience (four year olds need to eat before 1:30), offer options to the customer ahead of time (four year olds do NOT want sparkling water even if it is fancy), plan for flexibility(if the Carmel marathon route is right outside your business, people WILL be late), etc.).  Luckily, these four year olds had a good time regardless of the circumstances!

Sunday after church we headed downtown to the Old Spaghetti Factory so we could eat in the caboose.

Then we were off to the Children's Museum.

And we once again shut down the museum with the parade.

The weekend went way too fast and was way too busy but we had a great time!  Nana and Papa left this morning but will be back when Bailey gains a baby sister next month.  Maybe by then we'll have a house looming on the horizon...
