A Visit From...

Last Saturday, Nana and Papa arrived around 3:30 a.m. after yet another long drive from Georgia.  Lucky for us they came just in time to witness Phoebe losing her first tooth.  She was eating a bagel and I noticed her tooth was bent backwards, grabbed a napkin and out it came.

It was a bit traumatic at first.  She even refused to sleep with the tooth in her room because she didn't want the Tooth Fairy to come in.  Luckily, the Fairy found her tooth hanging from her bedroom door and left her a $2 bill.  Phoebe was pretty excited about that and will tell ANYONE with ears that she's lost a tooth!

Nana brought Aunt Debi's VitaMix and showed us all its magical powers.  She made bread with it Saturday morning, even grinding up the wheat with the machine.

Maverick gave up on baking and decided to eat cereal with Papa instead.

Their visit this time was to celebrate Parker's first birthday so we headed up to Kokomo Saturday afternoon.  On the way we stopped to see the wind farm in Tipton.  These things are just HUGE.

Pictures don't do them justice.

It was typical May in Indiana weather.  It rained, then it hailed (both kids ended up with a cough for about a week after the party) but totally worth it to play outside with cousins!

This is Maverick telling me "NO."  How can you not obey that cute face?

We had to bust out the winter apparel even - nothing like wearing coats and blowing dandelions, right?

Parker didn't seem to mind the brisk air - she was happy with her cupcake!

Phoebe LOVES the monkey bars.  It's only a matter of time before she's going across on her own!

Sunday after church we headed to Bub's Cafe for a Mother's Day brunch.  Isn't he absolutely charming?

Love these two!

These kids sure do love their Nana!

AND their Papa!

One more story before heading to bed.

And of course, the day wouldn't be complete without a Happy Mother's Day wish for Nana which no doubt, required Phoebe's assistance.

We know they're super tired of the drive up to Indiana but we adore the months of March, April and May when they come back countless times to wish their grand babies each a happy birthday!
