Easter Bunnies and Birthdays

We recently had a Crouching Tigers promotion ceremony and one VERY uncooperative child.

Bless. His. Heart.

Later in the week, I went with Phoebe to NIFS (National Institute of Fitness and Sport) for a field trip.  The first 30 minutes they were lectured about healthy decisions and getting daily exercise.

Then the fun began!  They had an obstacle course.

They moved on to scooters and had a blast moving around!

I took off the day on Good Friday not only to celebrate the holiday weekend but to kick off this kiddo's 4th birthday!

You can tell by the look on Phoebe's face that she had a hard time with Maverick opening presents and not receiving any of her own.  She pulled through like a champ though!

And yay for a new Innotab - they make the trip to and from downtown much easier to tolerate.

Saturday, Uncle Steve and Bevin joined us for the annual Easter Egg Drop in Westfield.  It was blustery and MUCH colder than we'd anticipated.

The cold didn't stop the kiddos from having a good time though!

Luckily, I still had our winter blankets in the back of the van to keep us warm while we waited for the helicopter to arrive.

Once the eggs dropped, it was a free for all!

Easter morning began with a basket hunt.

After church, we hurried outside for pictures before changing clothes and heading over to YiaYia and Papou's house!

YiaYia had some help from Bevin and Steve with her lamb cake...

We chased bubbles while waiting for the Greats to arrive.

It was so bright we all had to wear shades!

After lunch, we had an Easter egg hunt.

Monday we headed to a local park with our friends to do some hiking.

It was quite the rag-tag group of kiddos.

Tuesday, we had Hayden over and got creative with cookie making.

And Legos.

Tuesday evening I started feeling pretty puny so we stayed inside most of Wednesday before shipping Phoebe off to Hayden's house for a sleepover.  Thursday morning I woke up and headed straight to the doctor, only to be diagnosed with strep.  Luckily, modern medicine did its job and we were back up and at it later Thursday afternoon - which meant finding yet another park to explore!

You can tell by the variety of outerwear (or lack thereof) that we had crazy temperatures.  Friday we hit another park and burned some energy!

It was even windy enough to fly kites!

Saturday morning we headed out for breakfast and I had to document Maverick's attempt at his name!  Our four year old is ready for pre-kindergarten and thinks he should start now instead of in the fall!

Auntie Kate met us for breakfast and then the kids went to see Home with Ryan while we did some last minute birthday shopping.

Saturday afternoon, we celebrated our April birthday people - ages 4, 30 and 7!

This time around it was Batman cupcakes!

After brunch out in Zionsville after church on Sunday we hit ONE.MORE.PARK.

Monday was a welcome relief to get us back into some sort of a routine.  We have just enough time to get caught up on our sleep before celebrating Phoebe's 7th birthday, starting soccer practice AND having the in-laws visit to celebrate our kiddos!  Praying everyone stays healthy and that the rain stays away!
