With summer in full swing, we wrapped up the soccer season with big wins and trophies for all!
Phoebe is a year older than most of her friends (Ellie & Hailey) in the neighborhood but we still see plenty of each other out on the soccer fields!
Some of her school friends, Josie & Hayden.
Maverick was too thirsty to pose for Auntie.
The Sky Blue Sharks.
So happy to get his very first trophy. As soon as we got to the truck, he dropped it and it broke in half. Super glue to the rescue!
Uncle Steve prepared for round two of chemo and was ready to put up a fight!
Bevin's mom was up for the weekend as well - I love how he has such great support from friends and family alike! So very many rooting (and praying) for him.
Auntie picked up Maverick from summer camp early one day last week and they had lots of fun bonding and playing together.
She took him to an indoor park where he played hard.
And to the pool where he soaked everything in his path.
We spent that weekend in wedding mode for one of Ryan's best friends, Nolan.
While we were at the wedding, the kids got some surprise visitors. Uncle Steve and Bevin drove down for the weekend to celebrate Father's Day.
Sunday we went over to YiaYia and Papou's for lunch to celebrate Dad and Ryan. Maverick made Ryan a coaster and I know he'll treasure it forever.
The kids LOVED having their Uncle Steve in town!
We braved the heat and went outside to get some family pictures.
While they were in town, Bevin blessed us all with gifts from her friend's store. This necklace is a reminder to "Punch fear in the face!" so that's what we're going to do. Round three started this week and he'll have one more round before his next set of scans mid-July. They said his counts were good so they went ahead and scheduled the next four rounds of chemo. We remain hopeful that it's doing its job and so grateful for modern medicine and a faithful God who will see us through this journey.
