Spring Break 2017 (Part Two)

Nana and Papa drove up from Georgia to hang out over part of our Spring Break and celebrate April birthdays with the kiddos!

We got our new table and chairs delivered the day they arrived but the weather was NOT cooperating with us to eat outside during their visit.

All the warm and cold temperatures back and forth meant lots of nasty germs going around.  Mama likes to force the kids to drink Kidz Emergen-C on days where they sound a little croupy but Maverick is NOT a fan.

Nana and Papa bought Maverick a kite for his birthday and despite the chilly temps which required winter coats, we got out to enjoy the sunshine and the wind was perfectly accommodating!

We heard new babies were born in the barn so we had to make a visit to Conner Prairie.

Babies.

More babies.

Teeny tiny babies!

You get the idea!

 They were everywhere!

Being silly.

They weren't a fan of the hoop game.

Since Maverick was a toddler, the doctor's house has ALWAYS been his favorite spot to play at in the village.

It was too windy to go up in the balloon so we settled for a visit to the tree house instead.

Digging for artifacts.

No stop is complete without a visit to the playground.

We came home to find packages on our front porch from Granddaddy.  Yay for rockets!

And legos!!!

Score!

There was also one more gift from Nana and Papa that arrived while they were in town and it was HIGH on Phoebe's list so she was super excited to open it!

We heard about photos being taken with the Easter Bunny at PetSmart so we loaded up Ziki and Fozzie for a quick visit.

The bunny had seen better days.  Fozzie wasn't so sure about him either.

We picked up a few items to spruce up our fairy garden.

Nana and Papa were lucky enough to celebrate their anniversary with us so went out to dinner together - nothing more romantic than a big Italian meal with the kids, right!?

But man, when did she grow up!?  Beautiful inside and out!

When we got home there were more presents from Aunt Carrie & Uncle Mike!

Nana and Papa left Sunday morning when we left for church.  After brunch, my awesome husband was mowing our neighbor's lawn while they were out of town and discovered baby bunnies in their basement window well.  Our little animal lover HAD to help rescue them!

And although it was sad to see Nana and Papa leave, we were able to distract the kiddos with the annual neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt.

They're almost too old for these kinds of activities but not quite yet.

And the weather finally warmed up JUST enough for us to break in our new table!

The entire family was THRILLED to be outside!
