As the weekend wraps up, we reflect that we didn't do all that much but it was lovely all the same. Phoebe has spending LOTS of time with our 6-year old neighbor, MacKenzie. And as much as we love this new social side, it's certainly throwing a wrench into our routine...however, there are some perks. This little jeep that Ryan brought home last fall has always scared Phoebe. Well, MacKenzie wanted to get it out and now, she loves it. Go figure!?
We just need to work on learning to steer...
Friday after MOPS, we ran over to YiaYia and Papou's for lunch and then headed out to get our bangs trimmed. I'm just not very confident in my hair-cutting abilities and would much rather pay $5.95 to have someone else do it! And she's still on "riding a horsey" kick as you can see by her seat choice.
Friday night, YiaYia had Phoebe over for a sleepover so Ryan and I could celebrate our 6-year anniversary a bit early. I came over Saturday to pick her up in the middle of their craft project.
Phoebe did fairly well painting a paper bag and YiaYia was very patient with her as she learned.
Here they are wrapping pipe cleaners to make their vine for their pumpkins.
And because they ran out of paint, they'd headed to Hobby Lobby that morning only to discover a huge discount on all their holiday decor. Phoebe was most excited about bringing back this scarecrow. She even sat still long enough for me to take a picture and said "Cheese!" all by herself.
YiaYia and Papou pulled out all their annual fall decor and Phoebe had fun with all the pumpkins, leaves and scarecrows. She even found some "Phoebe-sized" corn!
How many people does it take to hang a fall garland in the rain?
And here's another "Cheese!" shot with their finished project!
And these are just a couple shots from Sunday school today. Preston and Phoebe are the oldest kiddos in the class third hour and have a good time together.
