Phoebe and I put up the tree last Sunday while Ryan was at the Colts' game. We also got out this little tree which Phoebe proceeded to hang a few ornaments on and put some garland around and declared it "Phoebe's Tree!"
Here she is showing she's finally mastered the art of saying "Cheese!" for the camera. Look at those blue eyes!
Reading her latest Caillou book from the library - this one all about Christmas - with a cat named Balthazar that Ryan affectionately refers to as "CrapBags" when he reads it. She's not at an impressional age yet, is she!?
Friday, we helped YiaYia decorate the church gym for Angel Breakfast. Phoebe was quite helpful and YiaYia gave her a Peppermint Tootise Pop - who would have thought those flavors went so well together...
Again, proof that she's mastered "cheese!"
The girl loves ladders (Mommy? Not so much!) Especially when no one is behind her...
Daddy came to watch Phoebe while I went to my annual eye exam and we got this cute shot before I left.
All of a sudden, we hear Phoebe cry out, "I need help!" Since the breakfast is held in the gym, all the play things that the preschool generally has out during the week were crammed behind the stage. Which is where we found this one...
Saturday morning, we woke up to this snowy mess. As we made our way to Angel Breakfast, all I remember as we approached the stop sign on this road was Ryan asking, "Do you hear that? That's our anti-lock brakes trying to stop..." Lovely. Welcome, Winter! At least today, Ryan had new tires put on his vehicle. Praise God for keeping us safe!
The redeeming fact at Angel Breakfast (other than YiaYia and Papou being there, and live animals) is sausage links and powdered doughnuts. They go exceptionally well with a black top!
The angel comes out to tell the kids the Christmas story. Phoebe decided it was a good time to hide under the table. She did come out for a peek or two.
Once the angel left the gym, we headed outside to see the live Nativity. There were all kinds of sheep. And snow.
A cute camel. And snow.
And baby lambs (trying to avoid all the snow).
When we went back inside and attempted to get Phoebe's picture with the Christmas Angel, she wouldn't even get on her lap (which means a picture with Santa isn't even an option). Hopefully they got it on camera when she gave the Angel a hug good bye. Go figure!
