The last weekend of February, Nana and Papa made a quick trip to Indiana to celebrate Bailey's 2nd birthday. Conveniently, we got to host them at our house and Phoebe got to spend some time with them in between their trip to Kokomo. As is tradition, Phoebe woke up to Papa's donuts from Long's. I suggested he grab her a few donut holes but she is her father's daughter and went straight for the Long John instead...
Nana brought her a crown and that meant Phoebe had to get out her Cinderella dress.
And do a little twirl.
Thanks to Nana and US Foodservice, we're now stocked with 60 mini-bags of goldfish. Here Phoebe is showing off her ability to share (when she wants to).
And we finally cashed in on Phoebe's gift card to Build-a-Bear. We've probably been at least half a dozen times since Christmas but have always walked away empty-handed. I think having Nana and Papa along did the trick.
Unfortunately, this is the last picture I have of Saturday as my camera battery died. So after we left the shop with Phoebe's new panda named Ana, we all headed to Kokomo.
We got home around 8:00 that night and I promptly went to charge my battery to capture a few more pictures of our short weekend. Nothing like a little wrestling before bedtime to wear a child out.
Snuggles with Phoebe are typically short-lived as she's ALWAYS on the move.
She had to show off her trampoline since they didn't get to see it at Christmas.
And here's Ana in her pjs and matching Hello Kitty slippers.
Nana and Papa were good sports about having the guest bed becoming a blow-up mattress as we transition between selling and buying a home. Phoebe loved the addition to our living room even more!
While they were in town, we celebrated my birthday. Now if only I had room for my sewing machine instead of leaving it locked up in storage, we'd be set! I'm anxious to try it out and now have something to put it in!
It was very, very hard for Phoebe to say good-bye on Sunday morning. The only thing that made her feel better was putting on her dress and twirling on a quilt. So serious, this one...
And the hands/arms are always out, at odd angles, no less, but out all the same. We love our little princess!
