Not a very exciting week but we did head back to the library on Friday and Phoebe made a point to sit with the statues again.
Ryan has been battling a nasty cold all week. He did head downtown for the NFL Experience on Wednesday afternoon but felt so miserable that when he made it home around 7:15 he promptly went to bed. Here he is with the kiddos later on in the week feeling a bit better. Phoebe is sporting a lovely NFL necklace and dealing out football cards, attempting to play "Memory" without a single matching card.
Here's our happy little boy who is enjoying his new found mobility!
Here's our big girl who still loves playing with her baby dolls AND getting her picture taken whenever her little brother does...
Not only is he crawling, he's pulling himself up and stands for great lengths of time!
Say "cheese!" (My kids are in pjs a lot, huh?)
Sunday we skipped church to head downtown - since Ryan was so under the weather earlier in the week, he missed Super Bowl Village. What better way to start off the day than with Dunkin Donuts? She's got a pink heart donut and her milk - what more could a girl ask for?
We got downtown a little after 10:00 and were able to park in my building for free (good thing since they were charging $60 for non-monthly parkers). We headed straight to the circle and found H&R Block out in force. Phoebe wasn't quite sure what to think about the green, faceless people walking around.
Once he took his mask off, she was willing to give him a high five, but not before!
Down on Georgia Street watching people on the zip line.
Ryan said he heard that someone bought out the remaining tickets at $10 and started reselling them for $250. Just one of the crazy things people will do when there's a Super Bowl in town!
Warming up.
Watching the ESPN news desk. That's Mike Ditka sitting down. All the other "celebrities" we saw were of the local news channel variety.
Ice sculpture.
Warming our buns on the warming benches.
We headed inside the Huddle (the abandoned Nordstroms at Circle Centre) where Lids Locker Room took over the entire second floor. We played a little corn hole.
And Phoebe showed off her arm!
It was getting to be pretty crowded by 1:00 so we started back towards the circle.
We lucked out and had fabulous weather almost the entire week.
Climbing up the monument.
We headed to the grocery store while Maverick napped in the van and apparently spent too much time there because Granddaddy called to say he was waiting for us at our front door! Grandma Wallis wasn't doing too well and required Alan's TLC.
Phoebe showed him her football arm and he was more than impressed!
He played horsey with her on more than one occasion. Bet he's sorry he offered that one...
Since it was so nice out, the ducks have all returned to our lake. In an effort to avoid more horsey rides, I got out some bread and the ducks got fed.
Then this one fed himself. Getting SO big! He got promoted to the next class at day care. Last week he went over to visit the new room twice a day and two of the four days, they had an ouch report filled out as he'd bumped his noggin on something or other. I was starting to get concerned until I watched him this weekend. He's just lacking some upper body control and does a lot of face plants these days.
He's SO mobile! Not sure if I'll be able to get a better one than this for his 10 month shot. I put it on his back but they all turned out blurry since he moves so much!
Phoebe gave Madonna a run for her money with all her dance moves during halftime. Then Granddaddy headed back to Princeton and the kiddos headed to bed after a VERY long day! So proud to call Indianapolis home!
