After what felt like an endless week, we had a co-op night at church on Friday. We're a month into this co-op semester and had ended up volunteering for the first two so I was pretty excited to go on a date with just Ryan! However, my husband had a better idea - how about dropping Maverick off and taking this big girl out on a date of her very own!?
And that's just what we did! We caught the 6:30 showing of Finding Nemo 3-D and she had a blast (despite the fact that her glasses kept slipping off her face)!
We still managed to pick up Maverick early and all got a good night's sleep. Ever since our ER visit last weekend, we've been getting solid through-the-night sleep (thanks, Amoxicillin!) and we'd not had that for a good 8 weeks - to say we're thrilled is an understatement!
This guy is happiest when he's naked. I think the Greek flag tattoo adds a nice touch, don't you?
One of Phoebe's friends, Lola Jane, was having a birthday party so we packed up the van Saturday and headed to a nearby park for the celebration.
Lola really loves the Little Mermaid right now so that was her party theme.
Everyone got to decorate the tree with streamers.
Even Maverick joined in on the fun.
(In case you couldn't tell, Lola's the one in the tutu).
Stinna, Julia, Maria and Phoebes hanging out on the slide as they finish up their lunch.
"Cheese!"
Maverick looting the goodie bag.
One more ride before heading out.
Phoebe practicing her alphabet before bedtime.
We had some pretty great weather over the weekend so a lot of our time was spent outdoors. We discovered a park real close to the apartment that we'd not been to before and it had a huge field the kids could burn up some energy in.
This is Maverick's "Save me!!!" look - he hears a noise or sees something he doesn't like, he spreads those arms and comes flying at you, ready or not.
This little guy wants to do EVERYTHING big sister does!
And he rarely stops for anything!
I think he made it up to the third rung before I finally called it.
One ER visit a month is more than enough for me!
After the Colts game, Ryan ran over to the house to install a few cables, boxes and odds and ends for our internet and cable - we have a pretty easy going contractor who has allowed us to come in and make a few adjustments on our own (which has saved a small fortune)!
While away, we decided to make some rice krispie treats. Unfortunately, neither kid seemed to care for them, which was not good news for me!
And here's where we are on the house as of today. They start installing the drywall tomorrow and just yesterday we were told we'd be able to close on the house November 5th. Crazy excited about that date!!!
