The day after Christmas, YiaYia, Papou, Auntie Kate and Uncle Steve came over for brunch and presents!
Purple sock monkey made its appearance - mark one more item off the list!
I can't believe I didn't get any pictures with anyone beside Auntie Kate - everyone else may have been busy snoozing!
Saturday morning we got up and headed towards Nashville, TN to meet Nana, Papa, Aunt Carrie, Uncle Mike, Lucas and Sophie. After a quick lunch we got down to business and opened more presents! Squinkies were received so Phoebe officially got everything on her list and she was SO happy! Everyone wanted to help Nana open her presents!
Papa finally got his Zubaz pants but Nana refused to let him wear them out of the hotel!
We knew there was a Bass Pro Shop near our hotel so we headed there to get out and burn off some energy. Our first stop was to see the fish!
It rained the entire time we were there.
Sunday, after breakfast and a 30 minute backtrack to fetch Phoebe's dog Boo from our hotel room, we were back on the road towards Indiana. Luckily, we pass another Bass Pro on our way home which was perfect for stretching our legs!
The one nearer home was much larger and had much more to do and see!
We were grateful to see our Georgia family and only travel HALF the distance, we only wish it had been a longer trip. Next year we'll plan better and cross our fingers for better weather!
