I continue to be amazed that we'd be absolutely picture-less without our phones. A couple of weeks ago, I took the morning off to hang out with our little guy who is getting OH so big! They had a field trip to see Sesame Street Live. He was a pretty big ham while we waited for the show to start. Here he is with his good buddy Issac.

Once it started he was only mildly interested. Right before intermission he asked if we could go home. Suffice it to say, he wasn't a fan. However, just this morning he asked if we could go see Elmo again so maybe he enjoyed it more than he let on.
Saturday morning, we asked Phoebe what she wanted to do and she said she would make a list:
(1. go to the park 2. go on a bike ride
3. go to the another park)
I had long awaited lunch plans with a very dear friend so while I was away, Ryan decided to take the kiddos fishing in a pond at the back of our neighborhood. The pictures speak for themselves - they had a good day!

and was impressed with his catch! The only downside to fishing at this particular pond is that Maverick brought nature home with him. We'd volunteered at our dating co-op that night so didn't get baths before bed since we got home late. As I was reading with him in his room, I was rubbing his head and discovered a bump - looked down and saw nasty legs sticking out of said bump and started screaming for Ryan. Thus the frantic online search for tick removal began! It took awhile for everyone (er, ME) to calm down and head to bed. Needless to say, hats were purchased along with researching all the concoctions that can be created to avoid further tick experiences!
Uncle Steve came down that weekend to help YiaYia and Papou do yard work. He was pretty tuckered out when we came over after church so Maverick had fun climbing on him while he rested.
We also celebrated one of Phoebe's good friend's 6th birthday at the YMCA. It was a pirate fairy themed event and the kids had a blast! I appreciate the fact that my two kids looked at me in this picture - usually they're too busy to stop and smile for us!

Maverick would have been content to just run around and play by himself! I don't think he even stopped for a cupcake! We then got to go swimming but those pictures will remain unposted! Ha!
Phoebe has been sleeping in braids a lot just so she can have curly hair at school! She looks pretty silly at bedtime with seven or eight braids sticking out of her head but it's worth it when she steps on the bus the next morning!
We had a little heat wave last week, nearing 90 degrees and started watering the grass. The kids were desperate to play in the sprinkler and settled on using Maverick's new umbrella instead.
Saturday we had some friends come over from church and then had a play date with a friend from school before heading to our favorite little market to meet Nana and Papa who were in Kokomo for Parker's 2nd birthday party.
The Monday before, YiaYia had her other knee replaced so after a couple of visits in the hospital, we were excited to see her new set up at home. Did I mention it's been hot here? Ryan took over Mom's cryopak to try cooling down (and sneak in a nap).
Phoebe's kindergarten teacher did some cute things for Mother's Day. She sent home a paper bag with a handwritten poem and inside were two bowls, two spoons and a baggie full of cheerios for Phoebe and me to eat together in bed Sunday morning. She also made a homemade card that she shared with everyone. Love this little girl and LOVE being a mommy to our two crazy wonderful kiddos!
Auntie Kate came down for Mother's Day and the kids loved having her all to themselves!
