9 Months Old

It's hard to believe Phoebe is 9 months old today! What a whirlwind it's been so far! We went to visit her pediatrician and it was NOT a fun visit. We walked into a very busy waiting room only to find out they didn't even have us scheduled for today. Luckily, they were able to squeeze us in 20 minutes later. We just had to keep her entertained which wasn't hard to do.

She had to end her visit with a flu booster so we didn't get to leave without any shots. As you can see from the picture, she's not a fan of the doctor's office so getting her to lay still to get her length and sit on the scale to get her weight were near impossible. We think she's 27 1/2 inches (50th percentile) and weighed in at 16 lbs. 13 oz. which put her in the 20th percentile. The doctor said he wasn't worried about her slow weight gain but we did talk about supplementing her diet with formula...I'm excited to start her on some new things like yogurt and eggs and see how she does.

She fell asleep on the 5 minute ride home and is still sleeping soundly over an hour later (her normal nap is 20-30 minutes so I'm thrilled!). She's pulling up on things and into everything. And after this morning, that now includes the toilet - who does that!? She's definitely keeping us on our toes! We certainly couldn't imagine life without her, that's for sure!
