Saturday morning, Ryan took the van for scheduled maintenance while I hung out at home with the kiddos and attempted to get some laundry done!
Once he returned, we headed to the house. He'd snapped this picture the day before and we were anxious to see our new driveway, porch and sidewalks!
Phoebe showing off her latest Crouching Tiger moves...
Being goofy in front of the fireplace.
And proving that we have one boy and one girl (neither of whom is afraid of dirt) both will climb on/over anything in their way!
We had more gorgeous weather this past weekend so we opted for a picnic at a nearby park and wore Maverick out just in time for his nap!
Since our time as Carmel residents draws to a close, we figured we'd better try out Bub's sooner rather than later. We spent the 45 minute wait playing their hook game and sneaking peeks at the varieties of ice cream in their parlor next door.
Hanging out.
Getting ready to tackle the Big Ugly (don't worry, we split it)!
Friday night had been a co-op night at our church and when we picked the kids up, Phoebe discovered empty cups from Huddles (a nearby frozen yogurt shop) and had been talking about getting ice cream non-stop since! After dinner, we walked down to the Huddles in Carmel for her very own concoction: chocolate and vanilla yogurt with nerds, sour gummy worms and mini chocolate chips!
Sunday afternoon, Phoebe, YiaYia and I headed up to Anderson to celebrate my cousin Kyle & Cortney's impending parenthood.
They had cake so Phoebe was happy!
Once the gift opening got underway, Phoebe got a little restless. After asking multiple times if she could play with my phone, she started taking pictures of cousin Hailey.
Luckily, their assistance was needed and kept them on track as the shower began to wind down.
Who knew ribbon could be so entertaining?!
I'd received a text from Ryan that Maverick had napped for almost 3 hours while we were gone. One, he ONLY naps in his car seat and two, it is NEVER three hours! Turns out, it was just a little over two hours and after a brief stint in his bed, the remainder of his nap took place in Daddy's arms in the recliner.
After he woke up, the boys headed out to a nearby park. Our kids LOVE water and LOVE to throw rocks so this was the perfect place for Maverick!
He looks like Christopher Columbus, ready to discover the new world, right!?
The kid continues to fall - into shopping carts, corners of cabinets, it doesn't matter. He took a pretty big fall tonight in the kitchen after his bath (darn footie pajamas!) - but this video that Ryan got on Sunday pretty much sums up our little guy's attitude - onward and upward - and with a smile, no less!
