Fun on the Farm

So this was the scene in our bedroom at midnight on Friday.  Miss Phoebe had once again decided she wasn't tired and needed a book to read. 

We had a showing on Friday and another one on Saturday afternoon so we headed out in the morning to avoid cluttering up the house. 

I'd purchased a deal for some Family Fun on the Farm passes that were going to expire at the end of the month so we took off for Stoney Creek Farms hoping to beat the heat.  We encouraged Phoebe to run to the hay barn to burn off some energy.

She came back to us lightning-quick when the tractor pulling a hayride drove by (she is NOT a fan of loud noises).

Our first stop was to their mediocre playground.  Phoebe has been to her fair share of playgrounds in her short life and gets bored quickly if things aren't up to her standards...however, we did make a stop at each piece of equipment just in case...

She got a pumpkin stamp on her hand upon entry and promptly put her hand to her forehead. 

The most fun was had on their massive jump pad.  It was big enough for 50 people to jump at once.  You can see who was first to get on!

We did some fishing...

Some tractor pedaling...

Rode the pumpkin train...

Raced ducks in the water...

And finally saw donkeys!  If you will recall - that was her request when we were at the State Fair! 

They also had turkeys who gobbled and roosters who cock-a-doodle-dooed.

We made a quick stop at Ryan's office so he could do a little work.  It's hard to believe but Phoebe got a little dirty so she put on a little diva show in between shirts.

This guy just deserved a picture because he's so darn cute.

Sunday after church, we stopped by YiaYia and Papou's for lunch and got to try out the play set they inherited from some friends whose boys had outgrown it.  It needs a little TLC but will be much fun for the kiddos. 

Phoebe needed a little TLC herself after a crash off the swing so a bag of frozen meatballs did the job!

And then we had to get a picture of my handsome boys.  Maverick is sporting one of my favorite onesies these days - thanks, Aunt Bonnie!
